Busy weekend. Friday night found me at Woodyapos;s to teach line dances. I again covered "Zjozzyapos;s Funk" and "Bosa Nova". The lessons went well, and I stayed a while and got some dancing in afterward. I forget how fun that is, and very good exercise to boot. It would probably be more beneficial to me to go more often in addition to the nights Iapos;m scheduled to work.

Saturday I headed over to Home Depot to place the order for the new kitchen cabinets and countertops. The wheels are in motion for the kitchen remodel, but at this point no work has begun. Weapos;re still waiting to get the permits from the town, and I will be following up with them tomorrow (in person) to see what the status is. Iapos;m anxious to really see things get underway. I had hoped that everything would be done by the holidays, but at this stage in the game itapos;s an unrealistic goal. The contractors told me it would take about 4 weeks between demolition and construction. The cabinet installer said it would take about 4 days for the cabinet installation. The countertops will probably take another 4 weeks - the cabinets and appliances have to be installed before they even come over for the template. I guess the first family dinner will probably occur around Easter.

The Liberty Gay Rodeo Association held their Harvest Hoedown on Saturday night at Pure. Though the event did raise money (always a good thing), I was somewhat disappointed in the overall turnout and expected more people to show up. June and I both did the music - I played about 90 minutes, which was fine since I wanted to enjoy the event with Al. There were a couple of drag performers (Shana Mathews and Maxine Chambers) who put on great performances, and we had Country dancing for the remainder of the night.

We had planned to go on one of those haunted hayrides last night at a dairy farm in Mullica Hill called Creamy Acres. Iapos;d never been, but Al and Ron had told me (for years now) how great it is. We drove out there, and big surprise, it was closed. Someone should have called them to see if it would be opened, but since it was Columbus Day weekend we figured they would have been open. We were pretty disappointed, but it was a nice drive out there.

I had the day off today (always a good thing) and had lunch with Rich and Vinnie. They later went down to Atlantic City. I wonder how they did...
